DIY Firestarters with Clean Glow Co Candle Wax

A Sustainable Way to Reuse Your Favorite Candles!

Love the scent of your Clean Glow Co candles but hate to see them go to waste? Don't toss that candle just yet  With a little creativity, you can turn those leftover wax pieces into practical and eco-friendly firestarters.
Materials Needed:
  • Leftover Clean Glow Co candle wax
  • Toilet paper tubes
  • Cotton balls or dryer lint
  • Twine, wick, or string
Instructions:
  • Prepare the Tubes: Cut your toilet paper tubes to the desired length. These will serve as the base for your firestarters.
  • Gather Your Wax: Collect the leftover wax from your Clean Glow Co candles. If the wax is hard, you can gently warm it up in a double boiler or microwave (be careful not to overheat it).
  • Fill the Tubes: Place a cotton ball or a small amount of dryer lint at the bottom of each toilet paper tube. This will help ignite the wax more easily.
  • Add the Wax: Pour the melted wax into the tubes, filling them up to about 2/3 full.
  • Insert a Wick: While the wax is still liquid, insert a small piece of twine or string into the center of the wax. This will act as a wick.
  • Let it Set: Allow the wax to cool and solidify completely.
  • Tie it Off: Once the wax is set, tie the twine or string at the top of the tube to secure your wick.
How to Use Your Firestarters:
  • Simply light the wick of your firestarter. It will burn slowly, providing a steady flame to help ignite your firewood or other fuel.
  • Your firestarters are perfect for camping, hiking, or even starting a fire in your backyard fireplace.
By using your leftover Clean Glow Co candle wax to make firestarters, you're not only reducing waste but also creating a useful tool for your outdoor adventures. Plus, you'll get to enjoy the lovely scent of your favorite candles one more time!
