1. First Burn is Essential

• Burn until the wax melts edge-to-edge on the first use.
• This sets the candle’s “memory” and prevents tunneling.
  

2. Trim Your Wick Before Each Burn

• Wood Wick - Trim to ⅛ inch — keeps the flame steady, reduces soot, and extends candle life.
  
• Cotton Wick - Trim to ¼ inch — prevents mushrooming, keeps the flame at a safe height, and ensures an even burn.
  

3. Burn in 2–4 Hour Intervals

• Short burns can cause tunneling; overly long burns can overheat the jar.

4. Keep Wax Clear

• Remove any wick trimmings or debris before lighting.

5. Burn on a Stable, Heat-Resistant Surface

• Soy wax may develop an uneven or slightly bumpy texture after burning — this is completely normal and a sign of a natural wax.
• Olive oil wax may appear creamy or develop a soft top layer — also normal.
• Allow the wax to fully cool before moving the candle.
